Industrial Product developer for our Urban Farm Shop

The basis for our vision to build 500 Urban Farm Shops in the next 15 years is standardization. Simplicity, usability and optimized for total cost of ownership. Industrial standards projected on low-cost greenhouse technologies. We are in the process finalizing our standard design in which we are optimizing and designing many products, object and construction parts. We are developing a detailed BIM model in Revit integrating structural, MEP and industrial standardization of our Urban Farm Shop. Designs of parts, assemblies or elements in e.g. Solidworks/Onshape, Inventor or Tekla need to be developed and integrated with our standard model. We are constantly building new prototypes for our unique model. 

We are looking for a Dutch speaking Industrial designer with excellent design, drawing and procurement skills to successfully deliver solutions for design challenges or conflicts of our Urban Farm Shop and everything around it in a fast way. For example: customized parts for the climate control equipment, construction elements, parts for our shop or movables like carts, transport systems, trays and cable gutters. You can work part-time, but also full-time is possible.

You would be working together with our design team in The Hague, in which we an architect, industrial designers, project managers, structural, electrical - and climate engineers, and of course horticultural experts. We are still in the startup phase (est. 2020) with several projects ongoing in the US.

You?

You are proactive, creative and a finisher. You have excellent design skills and master CAD profoundly. You have market experience with ordering mock-ups, materials and customized products. You integrate design data from the team members and partners, ask for supplier feedback, and effectively plan the development of the products you are working on.  You like to go out to talk to various stakeholders such as suppliers and partners, while you enjoy bringing the joined BIM model to a high professional and standardized level in co-operation with our future US development team. A driver's license is required.
